Platform Engineer Intern

As a Platform Engineer Intern, you will join a high-caliber team dedicated to delivering real-world, modern products. These products are crucial in helping patients with access, navigation, service, payments, and achieving overall positive clinical outcomes. This role offers a hands-on experience in a dynamic healthcare technology environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform operational analysis and develop concept of operations, design, and implementation plans.
  • Build mobile-first web applications and native mobile applications.
  • Gain an understanding of cloud infrastructure, including available components and how to integrate them into a unified product.
  • Work closely with senior engineers to manage a work queue and prioritize tasks.
  • Actively participate in daily stand-up meetings with senior engineers.
  • Utilize software tools, scripting, and engage in software/hardware troubleshooting.
  • Candidates with hands-on programming experience in Python (or any other language) and an interest in DevOps are highly encouraged to apply.
  • An understanding of AI models and AI concepts would be a significant advantage.

Qualifications

Academic and Enrollment Requirements:

  • Must be currently enrolled in a full-time accredited undergraduate or graduate program at a public or private College/University, and maintain good academic standing.
  • Must be committed to completing the duration of the internship from June 2026 – August 2026.
  • Must be committed to working 37.5 hours per week, totaling a minimum of 375 hours for the duration of the internship.
  • Must be a US Citizen/Permanent Resident.
  • Pursuing a degree in Computer Engineering, Systems Engineering, or a closely related discipline.

Required Skills and Experience:

  • Demonstrate strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, specifically Excel.
  • Must possess strong communication skills (Written & Verbal).
  • Demonstrated competency with:
    • Python (preferred) or Javascript.
    • SQL (Postgres) and NoSQL (Mongo, Dynamo/DataStore).
  • Knowledgeable about web and security technologies.
  • Experience with Cloud Infrastructure (AWS or Google Cloud), Linux systems, Docker.
  • Familiarity with SCM & CI processes.
  • Experience with Github/GIT Source Control and Branching.
