Entry Level Background Investigator – Northeast Region | CACI International

The Tone:
This is a full-time role at CACI International, supporting the Northeast Region, primarily remote with local travel. The TL;DR

• Mission: Resolve all material issues in a case to establish the background, reputation, character, suitability, or qualifications of the subject under investigation.
• Tech Stack: Technology, electronic tools, multiple systems

What You’ll Actually Do
• Conduct comprehensive interviews using technology, electronic tools, and multiple systems simultaneously with subjects, employers, associates, references, and other knowledgeable individuals.
• Review appropriate records to obtain facts and resolve all material issues in a case under investigation.
• Establish the background, reputation, character, suitability, or qualifications of the subject under investigation.
• Attend a multiweek intensive virtual, online training program, supplemented with additional shadowing and mentorship from an experienced Investigator.
• Potentially travel to various locations across the U.S. for temporary duty assignments (TDY), typically lasting two weeks.

The Must-Haves
• Background: Bachelor’s Degree or 4 years of general experience demonstrating progressive responsibility in problem solving, planning and organizing work, and communicating effectively orally and in writing.
• Experience: Ability to obtain and maintain a favorable determination based on a T5 Investigation; current driver’s license, reliable personal vehicle, and willingness to travel locally dependent on assignment location; home office equipped with reliable high-speed Internet.
• Skills: Strong sense of mission in supporting national security initiatives, impeccable work ethic, ability to navigate and utilize multiple technology systems simultaneously to maintain workflow efficiency, excellent time management skills, and exceptional written and oral communication skills including the ability to communicate complex or sensitive information effectively, listen attentively, respond appropriately to nonverbal cues, and make clear and convincing presentations.
• Bonus: Active Top Secret Clearance based on a T5.
