Business Informatics Intern

Location: Indianapolis, IN

This is a full-time (40 hours/week) internship program that will run for 12 weeks, from May 18th, 2026 – August 7th, 2026.

About the Role

The Business Informatics Intern will be a key support for the Business Information Systems team, focusing on critical financial applications and enterprise business solutions that drive key Finance operations. This role involves close collaboration with Finance business partners and Centers of Excellence (COEs) across the organization to ensure that systems, processes, and controls effectively support strategic and operational objectives. This internship is crucial for bridging the gap between Finance and Technology, aiming to enhance accuracy, efficiency, and compliance within core financial functions at a Fortune 20 enterprise.

Work Model

This role requires associates to be in-office 3 days per week in Indianapolis, IN, to foster collaboration and connectivity. This hybrid approach offers flexibility for productivity and work-life balance, combining structured office engagement with the autonomy of virtual work. Please note that candidates not within a reasonable commuting distance from Indianapolis, IN will not be considered for employment, unless accommodation is granted as required by law.

How You Will Make An Impact

  • Analyze business processes to identify and propose automation opportunities that improve efficiency and control effectiveness.
  • Build knowledge of financial products, internal business models, and enterprise data systems to support automation initiatives.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with business and technical areas to deliver new or enhanced processes and system capabilities.
  • Design and implement process automation solutions while strengthening governance and control frameworks.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Actively pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in Business Informatics, Computer Science, Managed Information Systems, or related degree programs at an accredited college or university.
  • Ability to work 40 hours per week for the duration of the internship (May 18th, 2026 – August 7th, 2026).

  • Self-motivated, technology-driven individual who is passionate about advancing automation initiatives and improving business processes.
  • Ability to thrive in a collaborative environment and demonstrates strong analytical thinking and ownership.
  • Familiarity with Microsoft Office Products (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.).
  • Experience with SQL, APIs, Oracle, and database software.
  • Experience working with automation and AI.
  • Excellent Communication skills, both written and oral.
  • Excellent Public Speaking and Presentation skills.
