The Tone:
This is an internship at Koniag IT Systems. The company builds critical enterprise services across cloud platforms for government agencies. This role supports the project manager and engineering team to ensure smooth operations and project coordination for these vital services, contributing to the efficient delivery of essential IT services.

The TL;DR
• Role: Internship
• Team: Enterprise Platform Team; reports directly to a Project Manager and works closely with senior platform and cloud engineers.
• Mission: Support the project manager and a cross-platform engineering team responsible for critical enterprise services to ensure smooth operational and project coordination.
• Tech Stack: AWS, Azure, Microsoft 365, SharePoint, Confluence

What You’ll Actually Do
• Project Coordination: Coordinate project activities including meeting scheduling, agenda preparation, note-taking, and action-item tracking.
• Documentation Management: Maintain project documentation, trackers, and status reports using collaboration tools like SharePoint and Confluence.
• Workflow Facilitation: Assist with onboarding/offboarding workflows, access requests, and approval tracking across enterprise platforms.
• Request Processing: Help manage vendor, intake, and request workflows by validating completeness and routing requests appropriately.
• Reporting Support: Support reporting activities, including milestone tracking, basic metrics, and status dashboards.

The Must-Haves
• Background: Early Career; currently pursuing an undergraduate degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Information Technology, or a related field.
• Experience: Comfortable working with documentation, spreadsheets, and collaboration tools.
• Skills: Strong organizational skills, exceptional attention to detail, and clear written and verbal communication skills.
• Bonus: Familiarity with cloud concepts (AWS and/or Azure), exposure to Microsoft 365 tools (Outlook, Teams, SharePoint), and an interest in enterprise IT, platform engineering, or technical program management.
