• Mission: Perform critical on-site testing and observations to ensure the quality and safety of construction materials and activities.
What You’ll Actually Do
• Testing: Operate equipment to conduct testing on materials such as soil or concrete and provide data assessment through reporting.
• Documentation: Utilize drawings, specifications, and diagrams to perform tasks and make detailed observations of site activities.
• Observation: Perform specific methods to make detailed observations of site activities and provide limited interpretation of results.
• Reporting: Maintain detailed documentation and data derived from test results for project records.
The Must-Haves
• Background: High School Diploma or equivalent; early career focus in construction materials testing.
• Experience: Valid driver’s license and a reliable driving record are required for this role.
• Skills: Ability to operate testing equipment, utilize technical drawings and specifications, make detailed site observations, and maintain thorough documentation.
• Bonus: Six months of construction-related testing and inspection experience, ACI Certification, NECEPT Certification, TXDOT Certification, or a Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering.
