The Tone:
This is a full-time role at Encore, providing essential technical support within a dynamic hospitality environment, potentially across multiple hotel locations. Encore specializes in delivering cutting-edge audiovisual solutions that transform events into memorable experiences. This Technician role is pivotal in ensuring the seamless execution of events, from setup to breakdown, while consistently upholding the highest standards of customer satisfaction and technical excellence.

• Location: Hospitality Environment (Multiple Locations)
• Pay: $23.46–$24.36 hourly
• Team: Reports to an Operations Manager, Operations Director, or Director, Event Technology.
• Mission: This role ensures flawlessly executed events through expert setup and operation of basic audiovisual systems, guaranteeing complete customer satisfaction.
• Tech Stack: Basic audiovisual equipment, Navigator

What You’ll Actually Do
• Equipment Management: Ensure flawless event execution by accurately and timely setting up, operating, and breaking down basic audiovisual equipment according to technical specifications.
• Client Engagement: Exceed client expectations by meeting on-site to confirm needs, verify equipment functionality, and proactively monitor events throughout the day.
• Technical Support: Apply basic operational ability to troubleshoot and resolve equipment and software issues efficiently and professionally.
• Operational Compliance: Adhere to company processes and procedures, accurately completing systems entries and paperwork, including utilizing equipment sheets for setup and strike.
• Revenue Contribution: Contribute to revenue growth through the application of floor up-selling techniques and by assisting clients with invoice finalization.

The Must-Haves
• Background: High School Diploma required, establishing a foundational understanding for an early career role focused on audiovisual systems operation within a hospitality setting.
• Experience: Preferred qualifications include 1 year of customer service or hospitality experience, alongside 1 year of audio-visual experience or equivalent in an educational environment.
• Skills: Demonstrated ability in audiovisual system setup and operation, basic troubleshooting and problem-solving for equipment and software, strong customer service skills, and effective communication.
• Bonus: An Associate’s degree is preferred. A valid driver’s license is required for team members who may operate Company vehicles, and internal/external training certifications are expected within the first year.
