The Associate Technician directly supports the production department, playing a vital part in meeting essential productivity and quality standards for the company’s products. This role is fundamental to the operational excellence that ensures consumers everywhere have access to high-quality eyewear.

• Team: Reports to a Supervisor within the Production Department.
• Mission: Supports the production department by consistently meeting productivity and quality standards.
What You’ll Actually Do
• Maintain Production Standards: Adhere to established work instructions and encourage other associates to follow them consistently.
• Manage Equipment Operations: Complete necessary equipment calibration and setup tasks, promptly communicating any maintenance issues to the Supervisor.
• Ensure Quality Control: Proactively identify potential quality, process, and workflow problems, informing the Supervisor of outstanding or recurring issues.
• Support Team Training: Participate in the training of new and existing Associates, mentoring new hires and assisting with cross-training as needed.
• Uphold Safety & Cleanliness: Maintain a clean and safe work area, notifying the Supervisor of any potential safety or health concerns and monitoring all safety requirements.
The Must-Haves
• Background: A High School Diploma or GED is the minimum educational qualification required for this role. This position is suitable for individuals entering or early in their career supporting production operations.
• Experience: Previous experience working in an environment that requires efficiency and speed is necessary, indicating the ability to perform tasks effectively under pressure and meet output demands.
• Skills: The ability to communicate clearly and concisely is essential for effective team collaboration and reporting. Strong organizational skills are needed to prioritize tasks, maintain an orderly workspace, and consistently meet strict production deadlines. Reliability in attendance and punctuality, including adherence to scheduled breaks and lunch periods, is fundamental for maintaining continuous workflow.
