Business Development Coordinator | Husch Blackwell LLP
The Tone:
This is a full-time role at Husch Blackwell LLP, located in one of our Austin, Kansas City, or St. Louis offices, working in a hybrid capacity. The TL;DR
• Role: Full Time
• Type: Hybrid (onsite at least 3 days per week)
• Location: Austin, Kansas City, or St. Louis offices
• Team: Reports to the Business Development Manager, collaborates with Business Development, Marketing, and Communications (BDMC) department colleagues.
• Mission: To support and advance marketing and business development projects and initiatives for assigned practice groups, including specific focus on the Energy & Natural Resources (ENR) team.
• Tech Stack: Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Internet research tools, InterAction, Foundation, Outlook, Teams, Zoom.
What You’ll Actually Do
• Group Understanding: Develop and maintain an understanding of assigned group’s attorneys, client base, experience, and market capabilities.
• Content Creation: Assemble first drafts of marketing and client-facing materials, including pitches, presentations, attorney biographies, and informational sheets.
• Quality Assurance: Proofread marketing collateral and other materials to ensure accuracy, clarity, brand compliance, and professionalism.
• Event Coordination: Coordinate attorneys’ involvement in professional, trade, and industry organizations, as well as sponsorships and industry events.
• Data Management: Assist with the collection, organization, and maintenance of data in business development databases, specifically tracking and managing activities for the ENR team.
The Must-Haves
• Background: Bachelor’s degree in marketing, communications, business, or a related field, or commensurate professional and educational experience.
• Experience: 2-4 years prior work experience, preferably in a law firm or other professional services environment.
• Skills: Excellent oral and written communication skills, strong computer proficiency in Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, Excel, and Internet research tools, strong organizational, time-management, and prioritization skills, and high attention to detail.
• Bonus: Knowledge of InterAction and Foundation; experience with scheduling tools such as Outlook, Teams, and Zoom.
