Seasonal DC Stock Associate | GPC

The Tone:
This is a seasonal role at GPC’s Distribution Center. In this engaging position, you will contribute to the efficient operation of the distribution network. Your primary focus will be on the accurate handling and movement of merchandise, from its arrival as inbound freight to its departure as outbound shipments for stores and customers. This role is crucial for ensuring products reach their destinations correctly and on schedule.

What You’ll Actually Do
• Inbound Processing: Accurately unload incoming shipments and prepare merchandise for storage.
• Inventory Management: Utilize a radio frequency scanning device to efficiently locate, select, and manage product inventory.
• Stocking & Organization: Perform procedures that include scanning boxes, carefully opening cases, and precisely placing products onto the correct shelves, while also maintaining clean work areas.
• Order Fulfillment: Accurately pull and pack products to complete customer and store orders.
• Safety & Compliance: Strictly follow all company and OSHA safety procedures and consistently adhere to daily operational protocols.

The Must-Haves
• Background: This role requires candidates to be at least 16 years of age. No specific educational background is required.
• Experience: No prior experience is necessary, as comprehensive training will be provided for all new associates.
• Skills: Ability to operate a radio frequency scanning device; Capability to read, write, conduct business-related mathematics, and analyze data as required; Demonstrated ability to work well with others in a team environment; Possesses a positive attitude and openness to learning new skills.
