Supplier Management Intern | Millennium Space Systems

This is an onsite internship at Millennium Space Systems, a company specializing in fast, agile small satellites for national security space. The TL;DR
• Role: Internship
• Location: El Segundo, CA
• Pay: $21.15–$36.54 hourly
• Mission: Support supplier management processes to ensure on-time delivery, quality, and compliance with aerospace standards.

What You’ll Actually Do
• Supplier Performance: Support the comprehensive tracking, metric generation, and assessment processes for supplier performance to ensure ongoing adherence to quality and delivery schedules.
• Data System Maintenance: Help maintain and update critical supplier data within Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) and specialized supplier management systems to ensure data accuracy and integrity.
• Operational Improvement: Contribute actively to process improvement initiatives focused on enhancing efficiency and effectiveness within various supplier management operations.
• Quality Compliance: Assist in the preparation and organization of essential documentation, ensuring all materials are accurately aligned with stringent aerospace quality standards and regulatory requirements.

The Must-Haves
• Background: Current student pursuing a degree in a relevant field, ideally with Junior or Senior class standing, and a demonstrated interest in aerospace or manufacturing supply chains.
• Experience: Familiarity with the use of ERP systems, practical exposure to data analysis or process improvement methodologies, and a foundational understanding of supplier procurement processes.
• Skills: Ability to support data entry and integrity within complex systems, contribute effectively to process analysis and refinement, and assist with the preparation of documentation for aerospace quality standards.
• Bonus: Strong academic performance, typically a GPA of 3.0 or above; exceptional organizational and collaboration skills, evidenced by leadership roles in teams or student organizations; strong technical experiences through projects, research, or prior engineering internships; and excellent communication skills coupled with enthusiasm for engineering, aerospace, and a career with Boeing.
