Legal Internship | THE·TEAM

The Tone:
This is a Legal Internship at THE·TEAM, located in Los Angeles, CA. THE·TEAM operates globally at the core of the sports, music, and entertainment industries, serving talent, brands, and properties. This role provides essential legal support by assisting with contract review and drafting, as well as conducting legal research and analysis. The internship is crucial for contributing to the legal department’s operations across the company’s extensive international presence.

What You’ll Actually Do
• Contracts: Review, draft, and meticulously edit a diverse range of agreements, including those for sponsorship, endorsement, appearance, and content creation.
• Legal Research: Conduct in-depth research and comprehensive analysis on specific legal questions across various legal domains.
• Memos and Opinions: Draft detailed memos and formal opinions that articulate search results, provide clear recommendations, and present sound conclusions derived from legal analysis.
• Collaboration: Work closely and effectively with all members of the legal department, spanning different offices throughout the company’s global network.

The Must-Haves
• Background: Current 2L or 3L student enrolled at an ABA-approved US law school. Candidates must be eligible to earn law school credit for the duration of this internship.
• Experience: No prior sports or entertainment industry experience is required for this role.
• Skills: Superior written and verbal communication abilities, a strong work ethic, unparalleled attention to detail, and a clear willingness to ask questions and actively learn.
• Bonus: Prior experience with Microsoft Word and redlining functionalities is helpful.
