Computer Support Analyst | Leidos

The Tone:
This is a full-time role at Leidos, located in Chantilly, VA. Leidos Security and Engineering Programs (SEP) is seeking a Computer Support Analyst for the Center for Information Systems Security (CISS) program. This position offers opportunities for growth in technical areas like networking and system administration for motivated individuals, playing a vital role in supporting the Network Operations Center. • Mission: Integrate new systems, manage changes, resolve technical issues, audit for compliance, and provide expert remediation to ensure mission readiness within a DoD environment.

What You’ll Actually Do
• Integration: Integrates new COTS/GOTS systems, including network equipment, servers, and workstations, into the production environment to ensure mission readiness.
• Change Management: Manages change controls for documentation within a Configuration Management Database (CMDB) and performs corrective actions on any discrepancies.
• Troubleshooting: Develops technical solutions and resolves complex issues across users, computers, servers, networks, appliances, and applications, documenting them in a knowledge database and ticketing system.
• Auditing & Risk: Reviews data from a DoD Network Monitoring System, proactively audits systems to meet program requirements, assesses risks, and remediates incidents.
• Expertise & Remediation: Analyzes issues, makes remediation recommendations to management, and carries out those remediation processes as an expert in their Area of Responsibility (AOR) after training.

The Must-Haves
• Background: Bachelor’s degree with 4+ years of relevant experience, or a Master’s degree with 2 years of relevant experience. A High School diploma with an additional 2 years of relevant experience may be considered in lieu of a degree.
• Experience: Interim Top-Secret clearance with the ability to obtain a Final Top Secret; Tier 2 Help Desk support (75%) with some Tier 3 support (25%); experienced with Windows Server Administration tools (WSUS, Group Policy, Active Directory, RDP); proficient in Windows 10/11 and Windows Server 2022 troubleshooting; skilled in GOTS/COTS application installation, configuration, and troubleshooting; experienced with industrial computer and Dell systems hardware installation, configuration, and troubleshooting.
• Skills: Proactive leadership, team player, strong communication, management, analytical, and problem-solving abilities; proven ability to thrive in environments embracing new technology; must be proactive and capable of working independently.
• Bonus: PC Imaging & Disposition experience; working knowledge of network monitoring tools such as OpManager, Solarwinds, or PRTG; workstation and server RAID knowledge; experience with virtualization technologies; infrastructure troubleshooting experience with Tripplite or Eaton UPS’, Fiber and/or Ethernet installation/termination, and electronic testing and metering equipment; experience with ticket tracking systems like Remedy, ServiceNOW, or SharePoint; prior experience in a Network Operations Center or Tier 2/3 Helpdesk; Tier 1 troubleshooting experience with Cisco, Palo Alto, or Juniper networking equipment; experience with CMD/Terminal/PowerShell; experience with RHEL Linux.
