About Us

We are a growing civil and infrastructure construction company serving public agencies throughout Southern California. Our projects include roadway improvements, electrical systems, ADA ramps, traffic systems, and public works infrastructure.

We are seeking a highly organized, detail-oriented Bookkeeper / Office Administrator to support our accounting and daily office operations. This is a growth opportunity for someone who wants to build long-term experience in construction accounting.

Position Overview

This role supports bookkeeping, financial recordkeeping, and administrative operations. The ideal candidate is comfortable with QuickBooks, highly organized, and eager to learn construction job costing and public works processes.

This position reports directly to company leadership.

Primary Responsibilities

  • Enter vendor bills and subcontractor invoices
  • Process accounts payable and track payments
  • Prepare customer invoices and track accounts receivable
  • Reconcile bank and credit card statements
  • Maintain organized digital financial records
  • Assist with payroll processing and reporting
  • Support monthly financial close
  • Maintain job cost tracking within QuickBooks
  • Assist CPA and management with requested documentation

Secondary Responsibilities

  • Organize project files and compliance documents
  • Track insurance certificates and subcontractor paperwork
  • Assist with onboarding paperwork for new hires
  • Support contract and project documentation filing
  • General office support as needed

Qualifications

Required:

  • 1–3 years bookkeeping or accounting experience
  • Experience with QuickBooks
  • Strong Excel skills
  • Highly organized and detail-oriented
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills

Preferred (not required but a plus):

  • Experience in construction accounting
  • Familiarity with job costing and WIP
  • Experience in public works or prevailing wage environment
  • Speaks Spanish
