What You’ll Actually Do
• Manage Accounts Payable: Process vendor bills and subcontractor invoices, ensuring accurate entry and timely tracking of payments.
• Handle Accounts Receivable: Prepare and issue customer invoices, actively tracking and managing all incoming payments.
• Perform Financial Reconciliations: Reconcile bank and credit card statements, maintaining organized digital financial records for accuracy and compliance.
• Support Financial Operations: Assist with payroll processing, contribute to the monthly financial close, and help maintain job cost tracking within QuickBooks.
• Provide Office and Project Administration: Organize project files and compliance documents, track essential subcontractor paperwork, assist with new hire onboarding, and offer general office support as needed.
The Must-Haves
• Background: 1–3 years of experience in bookkeeping or accounting, comfortable supporting daily financial and administrative operations.
• Experience: Proficiency with QuickBooks, strong Excel skills, and a demonstrated ability to manage multiple tasks effectively.
• Skills: Highly organized, detail-oriented, with strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Bonus: Experience in construction accounting, familiarity with job costing and Work In Progress (WIP), experience in a public works or prevailing wage environment, or the ability to speak Spanish.
