NAPA Counter Sales Associate | NAPA
The Tone:
This is a full-time, part-time role at NAPA. NAPA is much more than a parts store, seeking talent to join its family. The Counter Sales Associate is considered the “face of the retail store” and the primary contact for customers seeking automotive parts and solutions. This role is crucial for providing expert assistance and ensuring a positive customer experience, contributing directly to NAPA’s reputation and service delivery.

What You’ll Actually Do
• Provide auto parts answers and solutions to retail and wholesale customers in person or over the phone.
• Assist fellow NAPA team members by sharing your parts knowledge to answer customer inquiries effectively.
• Deliver outstanding customer care and foster positive interactions with everyone who visits the NAPA Store.
• Welcome retail customers and engage with them to create a positive consumer experience.
• Operate technology, including computers, cash registers, telephones, and paper catalog systems, with efficiency.
The Must-Haves
• Background: High School Diploma or GED; core domain knowledge of automotive parts, gained from working in the automotive industry or through personal experience with vehicle repair.
• Experience: Previous experience in a parts store or the automotive industry, or a strong willingness to learn all aspects of auto parts. Must possess a valid Driver’s License.
• Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication, strong listening skills, empathy for customers, and an affinity for fast-paced retail environments.
• Bonus: Background and/or passion for the automotive, heavy equipment, farm, diesel, marine, or dealership industries; experience in a parts store, auction, retail store, or auto body/collision shop; knowledge of cataloging and/or inventory management systems; an entirely customer-centric approach; ASE Certifications.
