The Tone:
This is a full-time role at SAIC, located in JBSA Randolph, TX. SAIC is engaged in a new US Air Force program, providing essential support for advanced simulation and emerging technologies. This role is crucial for delivering critical system administration services to flight simulators and mixed reality systems, ensuring operational efficiency and enabling technological advancements for the Air Force. The analyst will be key in identifying improvements, prototyping solutions, and integrating new technologies to meet customer and Instructor Pilot goals.

What You’ll Actually Do
• Administration: Provide critical system administration services to emerging technologies, flight simulators, and mixed reality systems.
• Improvement: Work on all aspects of information technology from initial identification of issues, opportunities for improvement, and prototyping of new solutions.
• Deployment: Provide cross-team deployment and administrative support for services, simulators, and integration.
• Research: Research, experiment with, and integrate technologies that can better serve the customer and Instructor Pilot goals.
• Documentation: Author, collaborate on, and maintain project, systems, services, and process documentation.

The Must-Haves
• Background: Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field and 2 years of relevant experience, or equivalent years of experience in lieu of a degree. Must be a US Citizen and able to obtain a CAC card and base access.
• Experience: At least 2 years of experience with Enterprise-level networks and systems, with the ability to research, develop, and integrate emerging technologies that have limited documentation.
• Skills: System administration, network management, technical communication to non-technical audiences, familiarity with DevSecOps and RMF frameworks, and the ability to obtain Security+ certification (or IATII equivalent).
• Bonus: Software engineering/programming experience, DOD/AF experience, VR/MR system experience, A+ certification, and flight simulator experience.
