Job Description: Junior Developer

One of Insight Global’s client is seeking a motivated Junior Developer to join a growing, collaborative technology team. This role will contribute to multiple initiatives, including a large-scale internal platform migration, and will focus on building enhancements in Java and Python, working directly with SQL databases, and implementing solutions that leverage AWS cloud services.

The ideal candidate is eager to learn, thrives in a team setting, and has a strong desire to grow within the financial services domain. Candidates must be willing to go onsite Tuesday-Thursday in West Chester, PA.

Key Responsibilities:

• Contribute to multiple initiatives, including a large-scale internal platform migration.
• Focus on building enhancements in Java and Python.
• Work directly with SQL databases.
• Implement solutions that leverage AWS cloud services.

Compensation and Benefits

Compensation: $30/hr to $35/hr. Exact compensation may vary based on several factors, including skills, experience, and education.

Benefits: Benefit packages for this role will start on the 31st day of employment and include:

Required Skills and Experience

• Bachelor’s Degree in Software Engineering, Computer Science, or related field
• Prior IT internship experience (financial industry is a major plus)
• Exposure to SQL database and queries (writing queries from scratch)
• Hands-on experience with Python and Java programming
• AWS experience
• Strong desire to learn more about the insurance and financial services space
• Agile experience
• Experience with AI tools (Copilot)
