This program offers a unique opportunity for individuals eager for real exposure to the world of startups, founders, and investors, all without disrupting current academic or professional commitments. What You’ll Actually Do
• Attend: Regularly attend eight (8) Venture Starters Free Pitch Zoom meetings, each two hours in duration, to fulfill the program’s 16-hour commitment over 3–6 months.
• Observe: Directly observe startup founders pitching their real companies, gaining first-hand exposure to the presentation strategies and dynamics of early-stage ventures.
• Learn: Acquire critical insights into what investors genuinely prioritize and the specific criteria they use when evaluating potential startup investments.
• Witness: Witness early-stage teams forming in real-time, observing the practicalities of building a startup and the evolution of ideas into viable businesses.
• Engage: Optionally engage during these sessions to connect with a diverse network of startup founders, investors, and advisors, fostering opportunities for potential separate internships.
• Develop: Enhance your résumé and LinkedIn profile with a recognized internship experience that demonstrates a commitment to understanding the startup world.
The Must-Haves
• Background: Possess a strong, demonstrated interest in startups, entrepreneurship, or venture capital, driven by a desire for real, practical exposure to the startup ecosystem.
• Experience: Ability to commit a total of 16 hours to the program, spread flexibly over 3–6 months, through attendance at eight 2-hour Zoom meetings selected from 30–40 annual sessions.
• Skills: Exhibit the capacity for independent and remote work, comfortable with self-scheduling attendance at virtual events and comfortable working in a self-directed manner.
• Bonus: Prior experience with events or community involvement is a valuable asset, though it is not a prerequisite for enrollment in this auto-accepted program.
