Digital Technology Intern | GE Aerospace

The Tone:
This is an internship at GE Aerospace, located in Evendale, OH or Livonia, MI. GE Aerospace builds jet engines, components, and integrated systems for commercial and military aircraft, working towards safer and more sustainable flight. This role supports the digital tools and solutions that enable these advancements, contributing to critical business and technical needs. The intern will learn from industry leaders, grow through professional development, and gain significant exposure to IT and software business leaders.

The TL;DR

• Pay: $20 hourly
• Mission: This person supports the development, enhancement, and maintenance of digital tools and solutions to meet GE Aerospace’s business and technical needs.

What You’ll Actually Do
• Support: Assist with the development, enhancement, or maintenance of digital applications, reports, or internal systems.
• Contribute: Help with assigned tasks, basic analysis, and problem-solving to support business and technical needs.
• Collaborate: Work with team members, participate in meetings, and build skills in relevant tools, technologies, and processes.
• Focus: Be assigned to specific areas such as Digital Platforms, Full Stack Development, Cyber Security, Commercial, Data Analytics, or ERP based on business needs and preferences.

The Must-Haves
• Background: Currently enrolled in an Associate’s, Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree program or a credentialed software accelerator program. Degree focus in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Computer Information Systems, IT Security, Informatics, Information Science/Technology, Management Information Systems, Software Engineering, Security and Risk Analysis, or other relevant STEM majors with Software/IT experience.
• Experience: Prior GE Aerospace intern experience is required, along with a minimum 3.0 cumulative GPA off a 4.0 scale.
• Skills: Strong analytical and technical skills with experience in software industry standards and development tools, excellent written and verbal communication skills, creative problem-solving skills, and a proactive approach to learning.
• Logistics: Reliable transportation is required, and a willingness to work in Evendale, OH or Livonia, MI.
• Bonus: General prior intern, co-op, or research experience in software, IT, or a relevant area. Motivated, personable, highly organized individuals with a strong commitment to a career in technology and a passion for software and information technology.
