Job Overview: Team Six Shop Leadership Intern

As a Team Six Shop Leadership Intern, you will play a crucial role in overseeing the daily operations of the Team Six shop. This dynamic position involves comprehensive management of shop inventory, efficient handling of transactions, and ensuring a seamless experience for all team members. You will be instrumental in fostering an enhanced team member experience within the park by directly contributing to the smooth functioning of their uniform and PPE needs.

Key functions include:

  • Operational Oversight: Managing inventory and processing transactions.
  • Team Development: Training and developing Team Six shop team members.
  • Daily Monitoring: Ensuring efficient daily operations of the location.
  • Team Member Experience: Enhancing the overall experience for park team members.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Greet team members with a friendly and professional demeanor, ensuring a welcoming environment.
  • Maintain impeccable shop appearance and organization at all times.
  • Develop and maintain comprehensive knowledge of uniform requirements for all park departments.
  • Conduct routine checks of locker rooms to ensure accurate counts of available uniform units.
  • Assist in the washing and drying of Maintenance and Food & Beverage Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) items.
  • Execute all inventory control functions, including vigilant monitoring of stock levels and timely ordering of products.
  • Support the completion of all departmental paperwork accurately and efficiently.
  • Facilitate team member development through effective on-the-job training and consistent follow-up training across all job responsibilities.
  • Demonstrate strong multi-tasking abilities, completing all assigned tasks in a timely and efficient manner.
  • Actively contribute to developing and promoting a high-morale, positive, and effective work environment.
  • Provide coaching, counseling, and performance evaluations to team members as necessary.
  • Administer corrective action to team members for issues related to attendance, over/shorts discrepancies, or performance when required.
  • Coordinate and manage break times in strict adherence to Six Flags policies.
  • Ensure all opening and closing checklists are thoroughly completed as directed.
  • Adhere strictly to park attendance policies as outlined in the Team Member Handbook.
  • Responsible for enforcing all Park and Departmental policies.
  • Provide support in Retail locations as needed.
  • Offer constructive feedback and innovative ideas for improvement to upper management.
  • Report all pertinent operational and team member information to Full-time leadership.
  • Execute delegated tasks effectively as assigned by Full-time leadership.

Qualifications:

  • Minimum Age: Must be 18 years of age or older.
  • Availability: Must be available to work flexible hours, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
  • Work Environment: Willingness to work outdoors in various weather conditions.
  • Personal Attributes: Must be professional, self-motivated, possess strong multi-tasking abilities, and maintain an enthusiastic attitude.
  • Teamwork: Demonstrated strong teamwork skills and the ability to collaborate effectively with others.
  • Technical Skills: Proficient in Microsoft Office, with a strong emphasis on Microsoft Excel, and the ability to understand and navigate databases.
  • Organizational Skills: Highly organized, detail-oriented, and maintains a professional demeanor.
  • Physical Requirements: Ability to stand/walk for up to 6 hours at a time.
