Job Title: Full-Time Registered Nurse (RN) – School Setting

This full-time Registered Nurse (RN) position offers a rewarding opportunity to provide essential healthcare services within a school setting located in Oro Grande, CA. The position supports students’ health needs through case management, direct nursing care, and collaboration with educational staff. The role is contract-based with an ASAP start and continues through the end of the school year (EOSY), with a possible extension into extended school year (ESY) and a strong likelihood of renewal.

Key Responsibilities

• Deliver comprehensive nursing care and case management to students across multiple school sites between Bakersfield and Tehachapi, CA.
• Collaborate with school staff, parents, and healthcare providers to develop individualized healthcare plans and support student wellness.
• Monitor and manage student health records, medication administration, and emergency care as needed.
• Advocate for student health needs and provide health education to students and staff.
• Facilitate communication between school personnel and families regarding health concerns.

Qualifications And Desired Experience

• Licensed Registered Nurse (RN) in the state of California.
• Previous experience working as a School Nurse or in school-based case management preferred.
• Ability to manage a diverse caseload and travel between multiple school locations within the High Desert region.
• Strong organizational and communication skills to work effectively with students, families, and educational teams.
• Commitment to student health and safety in an educational environment.

Location and Hours

• Position is based in Oro Grande, CA 92368 with assignments across schools located between Bakersfield and Tehachapi, CA.
• Full-time schedule averaging 37.5 hours per week with potential for overtime.

Compensation and Benefits

• Compensation for this position ranges from $35.77 to $55.77 per hour.
