Overview
This Corporate Marketing Internship offers a valuable opportunity to develop marketing skills within a dynamic, high-tech environment. You will collaborate with corporate marketing, product marketing, sales, and other business functions, gaining hands-on experience in various marketing activities.
Key learning areas include:
- Supporting technology launch campaigns.
- Assisting with tradeshows and events.
- Contributing to digital and social media efforts.
This internship is designed for students currently enrolled in an accredited college/university who will continue their studies in the fall.
Compensation: The typical base pay range for this position is USD $34.50 – $42.00 per hour. Individual pay is determined by factors such as work location, job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.
Responsibilities & Competencies
Job Duties
- Integrated Marketing & Product Launches: Support integrated marketing and product launch campaigns.
- Marketing Asset Creation: Assist with the creation, coordination, and updates of marketing assets, including presentations, datasheets, emails, and web content. Ensure messaging and branding consistency across all deliverables.
- Campaign Management: Track tasks, deadlines, and approvals for various campaign activities.
- Social Media Management: Assist with the execution of corporate social media content calendars for platforms like LinkedIn, Instagram, Facebook, and YouTube. This includes supporting copywriting, asset coordination, scheduling, publishing, and ensuring alignment with campaigns, launches, and company milestones.
- Performance Monitoring: Monitor basic engagement metrics and help compile performance summaries for marketing activities, especially social media.
- Event Coordination: Help coordinate event logistics, including booth assets, signage, demos, giveaways, shipping, post-event follow-up, reporting, and organization of materials.
- Timeline & Vendor Management: Support timeline tracking, checklists, and vendor coordination as needed.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams within marketing and other business groups.
- Asset Organization: Help maintain organized libraries of marketing assets and documentation.
- Process Improvement: Contribute ideas and support the continuous improvement of marketing processes.
Competencies
- Interest in Technology: Demonstrated interest in technology, hardware, or B2B marketing.
- Social Media Savvy: Familiarity with major social media platforms and basic analytics.
- Tool Experience (Plus): Experience with design tools, CMS platforms, or social media management tools is a plus.
- Organizational Skills: Well-organized with strong attention to detail; proactively ensures work is accurate.
- Self-Motivation: Self-motivated with an aptitude to learn quickly.
- Positive Attitude: Positive attitude and strong work ethic; unafraid to ask questions and explore new ideas.
- Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills; strong sense of professionalism.
Qualifications (Requirements)
- Education: Candidates must be currently seeking a Bachelor’s or Advanced degree in Marketing, Communications, Business, or a related field.
- Software Proficiency: Working knowledge of Microsoft Office (MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint) or Google Workspace.
- Availability: Able to work independently at times and dedicate a minimum of 20 hours/week.
- Work Authorization: Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without restriction.
- Background Check: Must be willing to submit to a background investigation, including verification of employment and criminal history.
- Age Requirement: Must be 18 years of age or older.
