Job Summary: Entry Level Roofer (Rutland, VT)

We are actively seeking a motivated and dedicated Entry Level Roofer to join our team in Rutland, VT. Under the direct supervision of a Crew Foreman, the Commercial Roofer plays a crucial role in the installation, maintenance, and repair of various types of commercial roofing systems. This is an excellent opportunity for individuals looking to start a career in the roofing industry, as we are committed to training the right candidates.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist in the installation of commercial roofing systems, including EPDM, TPO, and PVC.
  • Perform routine maintenance and repair tasks on existing roofing structures.
  • Follow all instructions from the Crew Foreman diligently.
  • Adhere strictly to all job specifications and safety guidelines.
  • Maintain a high level of professionalism and strong work ethic on all job sites.
  • Collaborate effectively with team members to ensure project completion.

Requirements & Qualifications

  • Experience: Commercial roofing experience is preferred, but we are fully prepared to train the right individuals who demonstrate enthusiasm and a willingness to learn.
  • Physical Capability:
    • Ability to lift 25+ lbs. regularly and 50+ lbs. occasionally.
    • Comfortable with extensive standing, walking, bending, kneeling, and climbing ladders.
  • Work Environment: Ability to work effectively in an outdoor setting, adapting to varying weather conditions (heat, cold, rain, etc.).
  • Safety & Professionalism:
    • Strong ability to follow instructions and perform work in accordance with safety guidelines.
    • Maintain a strong level of professionalism at all times.
  • Transportation: Reliable transportation is required to and from jobsites and/or the warehouse.
  • Communication: Strong communication, interpersonal, and time management skills.
  • Age Requirement: Must be at least 18 years of age.

Working Conditions

  • Physical Surroundings: Primarily a field environment with exposure to varying heights, noise levels, and fluctuating temperatures.
  • Physical Effort: The role demands extensive standing, walking, and climbing ladders. Frequent lifting, carrying, bending, and kneeling are expected activities throughout the workday.
