Audit Specialist | UMB

The Tone:
This is a seasonal role at UMB, where the Audit team provides essential audit preparation services for alternative investment fund clients. The TL;DR
• Role: Full Time
• Type: Seasonal (January to June focus)
• Pay: $25640–$49440 yearly
• Team: Small Audit team supporting alternative investment fund clients.
• Mission: This role handles all tasks related to the annual audit of the financial reporting process for clients.
• Tech Stack: Excel, UMB accounting systems

What You’ll Actually Do
• Prepare financial statement data by operating Excel and UMB accounting systems to summarize exports.
• Reconcile and clean data specifically for the preparation of audited financial statements.
• Partner with the Fund Accounting team and other internal peers to ensure accuracy, completeness, and client satisfaction.
• Manage and execute all tasks related to the annual audit of the financial reporting process.

The Must-Haves
• Background: Early Career, having completed at least two years in an undergraduate program in a business-related field.
• Experience: No specific years required, but a desire to learn more in audit and accounting is expected.
• Skills: Strong communication skills, strong review skills, and proficiency in operating Excel and UMB accounting systems.
