HR Project Coordination Intern | Acuity Inc.

The Tone:
This is an internship at Acuity Inc., a market-leading industrial technology company operating across North America, Europe, and Asia. This role is crucial for supporting the strategic migration of Acuity’s HR reporting environment from SAP SuccessFactors to an Azure Data Lake-based analytics platform. It offers hands-on project management experience within HR technology transformations, contributing to data-driven insights.

• Pay: $36000–$78000 yearly

What You’ll Actually Do
• Project Management: Assist in managing the overall reporting migration project timeline, milestones, and deliverables.
• Stakeholder Coordination: Coordinate with HR stakeholders across departments to gather, document, and prioritize reporting requirements.
• Meeting Facilitation: Facilitate meetings, workshops, and requirement-gathering sessions to ensure alignment between business needs and technical capabilities.
• Progress Tracking: Track project progress, identify risks or delays, and support mitigation efforts to keep the migration on schedule.
• Data Collaboration: Collaborate with data engineering, security, and analytics teams on data mapping, validation, and testing during the transition to Azure Data Lake solutions.

The Must-Haves
• Background: Currently enrolled in or recently graduated from a bachelor’s or master’s program in Human Resources, Business Administration, Project Management, Information Systems, or Data Analytics; with a basic understanding of HR processes and key metrics.
• Experience: Strong organizational and project coordination skills, including the ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines, and proficiency in Microsoft Office tools (Excel, PowerPoint, Teams, Project) and Power BI.
• Skills: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for stakeholder engagement and requirement gathering; an analytical mindset with attention to detail and problem-solving abilities; and the ability to handle confidential information with discretion.
• Bonus: Familiarity with HRIS systems (e.g., SAP SuccessFactors) and cloud data platforms (e.g., Azure), or experience with collaboration tools like Smartsheet or Azure DevOps.
