Sales Representative, Small Business Services | ADP
The Tone:
This is a full-time role at ADP, located in a defined geographic territory. ADP is a comprehensive global provider of cloud-based human capital management (HCM) solutions that unite HR, payroll, talent, time, tax and benefits administration, and a leader in business outsourcing services, analytics, and compliance expertise. This role is crucial for identifying and signing new small business clients (1-49 employees) and expanding services to existing clients, directly contributing to ADP’s growth and client relationships. It requires resilience and a positive attitude in a fast-paced environment, offering uncapped commissions and career advancement opportunities.

• Mission: Identify, acquire, and retain small business clients (1-49 employees) for ADP’s full suite of payroll, tax, HR, and benefits solutions.
What You’ll Actually Do
• Drive Business Growth: Close sales, win new business, and achieve sales goals independently and collaboratively within your assigned geographic territory.
• Client Acquisition: Implement a sales strategy targeted to decision-makers and business owners to build a network and capture new business.
• Account Expansion: Strategically cultivate additional business within existing accounts, selling cloud-based human resources and other solutions.
• Trusted Partnership: Serve as a trusted advisor, partner, and ADP ambassador to clients, internal partners, and your overall network, upholding the highest ethical standards.
• Needs Assessment & Solution Presentation: Cultivate relationships, set appointments, gather leads, assess client or prospect needs, and present the most suitable ADP solutions.
The Must-Haves
• Background: No specific degree required; skills to do the job are most important. Career level: Early Career.
• Experience: One to two years of prior work experience or internships in Retail, Marketing, Business Development, Food Service, Insurance Sales, or another relevant industry, OR Military experience.
• Skills: Upbeat, persistent style with the ability to cold call without fear of rejection, strong time management, and clear professional presentation skills in various formats; problem-solving ability to find solutions in times of fast-paced change; continuous learning mindset to question past methods and drive improvement.
• Bonus: Prior quota-carrying experience; ability to successfully build a network and effectively use social media for sales.
