Job Title: Counter Sales Representative
Ferguson is actively seeking a motivated individual to fill an immediate need for a Counter Sales Representative.
Work Schedule & Compensation
- Hours: Monday to Friday, 7:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.
- Starting Pay: Beginning at $24.00 per hour, with the potential for higher pay based on experience. This role is eligible for bonus or incentive plans.
- Note: While a broader estimated hourly pay range of $15.00 – $21.68 is generally disclosed, the specific starting wage for this Counter Sales Representative position is stated to be $24.00 per hour. Ferguson complies with all wage regulations, and starting wages may be higher in certain locations based on local or state requirements.

Key Responsibilities
As a Counter Sales Representative, you will be instrumental in providing excellent customer service and maintaining an efficient store environment:
- Provide expert advice to customers, guiding them to the best products for their specific needs.
- Process customer orders accurately using the order management system.
- Operate cash registers and adhere to all established cash handling procedures.
- Prepare and stage orders efficiently for customer pick-up.
- Maintain the store’s appearance and uphold merchandising standards as advised.
- Ensure merchandise is consistently restocked and correctly placed in its designated areas.
- Promote and maintain a safe working environment, including the proper use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
Qualifications
Ferguson is looking for individuals with the following qualifications:
- Experience: 0-3 years of customer service experience is preferred.
- Product Knowledge: Basic understanding of products is preferred.
- Digital Literacy: General digital literacy, including proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, is required.
- Physical Capability: Ability to lift, load, and deliver merchandise.
- Math Skills: General math skills are necessary for cash accounting.
- Learning Agility: An ability to learn new information and skills is a must-have!
- Communication: Excellent decision-making and communication skills are essential.
