Registered Nurse (RN) – New Graduate | Select Specialty Hospital

The Tone:
This is an early career Registered Nurse position at Select Specialty Hospital, which is currently located in Town & Country and will be moving in 2026 to Christian Northeast, within St. Louis, Missouri. Select Specialty Hospital is a critical illness recovery facility dedicated to providing world-class inpatient post-ICU services. The hospital specializes in supporting chronic, critically ill patients who require extended healing and recovery periods. Registered Nurses in this role are central to delivering compassionate, excellent treatment and comprehensive care during patients’ most vulnerable moments, guiding them through their journey towards recovery.

The TL;DR
• Role: Early Career Registered Nurse (New Graduate)
• Type: Full-time Night 7p-7a
• Location: St Louis, Missouri (In-person) – Currently Town & Country, relocating in 2026 to Christian Northeast.
• Pay: $40.12 hourly, with shift differentials of $5 for nights and $3.50 for weekends. A $15,000 sign-on bonus is also offered.
• Mission: To ensure the provision of compassionate, excellent treatment for chronic, critically ill post-ICU patients by implementing, evaluating, and following up on their comprehensive nursing care plans in collaboration with the interdisciplinary team.

What You’ll Actually Do
• Care Planning: Assure the implementation, evaluation, and follow-up of the patient assessment plan and overall plan of care for the patient population.
• Patient Assessment: Initiate an ongoing systematic assessment of the physical, emotional, social, educational, and functional needs of patients and their families.
• Plan Development: Interpret assessment data and information to develop a nursing care plan that includes problem identification, nursing diagnoses, nursing orders, approaches, interventions, short/long-term goals, and discharge planning.
• Team Collaboration: Participate as a productive member of the interdisciplinary team in the assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of rehabilitation goals.
• Documentation: Assure that all documents within the medical record are complete, factual, accurate, and timely.

The Must-Haves
• Background: Graduate of an accredited program for registered nursing. Early Career level.
• Experience: Valid State RN License required upon start date (applicants may apply before being licensed). No prior work experience beyond nursing education is required.
• Skills: BLS (Basic Life Support) certification required at hire. Must demonstrate flexibility of scheduling to complete the requirements of the new graduate orientation program.
