The Tone:
This is a full-time role at Langan, located in Boston, MA. Langan specializes in expert land development engineering and environmental consulting services, supporting a diverse range of clients across the U.S. and globally. This role is crucial for assisting with the planning, design, and permitting of landscape architecture, land development, and planning projects. The individual will contribute to integrated design services for both public and private sector clients.

What You’ll Actually Do
• Project Design: Assist with the planning, design, and permitting of landscape architecture, civil engineering, land development, and infrastructure projects using relevant software.
• Feasibility Assessment: Conduct zoning, ordinance, and permit assessments to determine project feasibility based on collected data analysis.
• Document Preparation: Help prepare and modify various design and engineering documents, including reports, specifications, plans, construction schedules, and cost estimates.
• Site Analysis: Evaluate site characteristics such as soil composition, terrain, hydrological features, and topographical data to inform project planning and design.
• Field Services: Provide field inspection services as needed to support project execution.

The Must-Haves
• Background: Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Landscape Architecture.
• Experience: 0-3 years of work-related experience.
• Skills: Exceptional computer skills in Adobe Suite, Sketchup, and AutoCAD; strong interpersonal, organizational, verbal, and written communication abilities; demonstrated ability to follow direction and collaborate effectively within a team.
• Bonus: Demonstrated passion for design excellence and creating inspiring urban environments; possession of reliable transportation to access job sites and a valid driver’s license in good standing; requirement to provide a portfolio of work samples with your application.
