• Team: Core Platform Engineering team
• Mission: This person owns the design, development, and optimization of foundational services and infrastructure to ensure the platform is robust, scalable, and high-performance.

What You’ll Actually Do
• Lead: Lead the end-to-end design, development, and testing of critical backend services and APIs that support our global user base.
• Architect: Architect and implement solutions for performance, reliability, scalability, and security across our platform.
• Collaborate: Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to translate complex requirements into technical specifications and deliver innovative solutions.
• Mentor: Mentor junior engineers, foster technical excellence, and contribute to the growth and development of the team.
• Resolve: Troubleshoot, debug, and resolve complex technical issues in production environments, ensuring high availability and reliability of our services.

The Must-Haves
• Background: Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical field. A strong focus on platform and distributed systems development.
• Experience: Minimum of 5+ years in backend software development, specifically focusing on platform and distributed systems. Extensive experience designing and building scalable distributed systems, microservices architectures, and RESTful/gRPC APIs. Proven experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) and containerization technologies (Docker, Kubernetes).
• Skills: Strong proficiency in Go, Java, Python, C#, or similar languages. Solid understanding of data structures, algorithms, object-oriented design principles, and software design patterns. Expertise with various database technologies (PostgreSQL, MySQL, MongoDB, Cassandra, DynamoDB) and message queues/streaming platforms (Kafka, RabbitMQ, SQS/SNS). Proficiency with Git and CI/CD pipelines.
• Bonus: Experience with observability tools (Prometheus, Grafana, ELK Stack, Jaeger), familiarity with infrastructure-as-code (Terraform, CloudFormation), or contributions to open-source projects.
