IT Software Development Intern (Summer 2026) | Performance Contracting Group

The Tone:
This is an internship at Performance Contracting Group, located in Lenexa, KS. The TL;DR

• Type: Full-time, 10-week, Paid
• Location: In-person, Lenexa, KS
• Team: IT Software Development Department
• Mission: To assist the Information Technology teams in maintaining essential systems and applications while providing technical support and contributing across various IT domains.
• Tech Stack: Microsoft Office Suite, Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Word

What You’ll Actually Do
• Support: Support Information Technology teams in maintaining hardware, software, systems, and applications.
• Troubleshoot: Assist with troubleshooting issues and provide direct technical support to users.
• Participate: Shadow the Agile development group and actively participate in core Agile ceremonies.
• Contribute: Lend support across various areas within IT, including cybersecurity, software development, quality assurance, and business analytics.

The Must-Haves
• Background: Must be currently enrolled in an undergraduate degree program for Computer Science, Information Technology, Management Information Systems, or a comparable field of study.
• Experience: Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite, including Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Word.
• Skills: Strong verbal and written communication skills, ability to work effectively in a team environment, excellent customer service skills, critical thinking and problem-solving skills, and an aptitude for learning new job skills.
• Bonus: Local to the Kansas City Metro Area; interest and/or past experience in AI, LLM, or agent creation.
