Description

Blake & Pendleton (B&P) is the largest Sullair Distributor in the Southeast. We specialize in offering highly unique services aimed at increasing energy efficiency and improving compressed air usage in our customers’ plants and facilities.

We are seeking a motivated, driven Entry-Level Outside Sales Associate to bolster our sales efforts within the compressed air industry. This role is ideal for individuals eager to build a rewarding career in industrial sales by acquiring knowledge of technical products, cultivating strong customer relationships, and growing a defined sales territory. Comprehensive training and mentorship will be provided to support your success.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with new and existing customers within an assigned territory.
  • Prospect for new business opportunities through various channels, including cold calls, referrals, jobsite visits, and networking events.
  • Effectively learn and sell a comprehensive range of compressed air equipment, parts, service solutions, and related technologies.
  • Conduct on-site customer visits to thoroughly assess needs and recommend appropriate products or services.
  • Prepare detailed quotes, compelling proposals, and facilitate essential follow-up communications.
  • Coordinate seamlessly with inside sales, service, and operations teams to ensure exceptional customer satisfaction.
  • Maintain accurate sales activity records and customer information within the CRM system.
  • Attend product training sessions, manufacturer training, and sales meetings as required to enhance expertise.
  • Support promotional activities, participate in trade shows, and assist with customer events.
  • Meet or exceed assigned sales goals and activity targets.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent required; an Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree is preferred.
  • Zero to Two (0–2) years of sales, customer service, or related experience.
  • Demonstrated interest in industrial, mechanical, or technical products (prior compressed air experience is a plus, but not required).
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Self-motivated with a genuine desire to learn and grow within a sales career.
  • Ability to manage time effectively and work independently.
  • Basic computer proficiency (e.g., Microsoft Office Suite, CRM systems).
  • Valid driver’s license and the ability to travel extensively within the assigned territory.
