Description

This role offers a comprehensive learning experience within insurance claims operations, providing a blend of direct customer interaction, administrative support, and strategic project involvement. Successful candidates will develop essential professional skills while gaining a deep understanding of the insurance industry.

Learning Objectives and Responsibilities

  • Customer Service: Assist with inbound claims calls from a diverse group including insureds, claimants, repair shops, agents, and other claim participants, ensuring a high level of service.
  • Claims Processing Support:
    • Set up and extend rental vehicles for eligible claims, managing logistics and communication.
    • Process glass claims efficiently from initiation to completion.
    • Handle policy cancellations and related service requests, ensuring accuracy and compliance.
    • Manage and monitor the eSubro Hub inbox, responding to inquiries and processing subrogation-related tasks.
    • Index claim documents accurately into the claims management system, maintaining organized and accessible records.
  • Team Support: Support adjusters and other team members with various service-related tasks, contributing to overall team efficiency.
  • Industry Knowledge: Gain a thorough understanding of insurance claims operations, including workflows, best practices, and regulatory compliance.
  • Skill Development: Develop and refine professional communication, problem-solving, and time management skills through practical application and mentorship.

Projects/Opportunities

  • Process Improvement: Actively identify and propose process improvements within claims call handling and other service tasks to enhance efficiency and customer satisfaction.
  • Service Enhancement Analysis: Analyze common customer inquiries and feedback to suggest targeted service enhancements and solutions.
  • Cross-Departmental Exposure: Gain valuable cross-departmental exposure by participating in projects or initiatives within Agency Services and Billing Services, fostering a broader understanding of operational processes within the organization.

Desired Qualifications And Skills

  • Education: High school degree or equivalent is required. Must be actively enrolled in an accredited university/college program.
  • Technical Proficiency: Proficient computer skills, including a solid working knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel.
  • Communication: Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to articulate information clearly and professionally.
  • Team Player: Energetic, proactive, and willing to be an integral part of a collaborative team environment.
