Position Summary: Supply Chain Intern
ITT Aerospace Controls in Valencia, CA, is seeking a dynamic Supply Chain Intern to join its growing team. This internship offers a valuable, hands-on opportunity to gain real-world experience in supply chain operations within a fast-paced aerospace manufacturing environment. Interns will benefit from mentorship and guidance, aiming to become highly effective contributors to the supply chain organization. The role focuses on developing key skills in market intelligence, data analytics, and supplier management.
Essential Responsibilities
- Quoting parts, contacting suppliers, and building strong relationships with both internal and external stakeholders.
- Tracking spend and usage, analyzing trends, and proposing improvements to optimize supply chain efficiency.
- Monitoring and driving metrics to continuously improve supplier performance.
- Identifying value creation opportunities and evaluating industry trends to inform strategic decisions.
- Conducting market assessments and competitor product reviews to maintain competitive advantage.
- Supporting the development of proprietary database tools to enhance data management.
- Assisting the market intelligence team with various special projects.
- Researching and updating supply chain databases to enable quick responses to market and supply disruptions.
- Supporting continuous improvement initiatives and creating Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) for data analytics and market intelligence activities.
- Completing ad hoc reports and projects that align with the intern’s skill set and development goals, fostering continuous learning.
Position Requirements
- Currently enrolled as a Junior or Senior at an accredited college, pursuing a business-related degree.
- Supply Chain or Data Analytics majors are preferred.
- Enrollment in a strategy or market research-oriented MBA program is a plus.
- Proficient experience with Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to model and interpret large datasets effectively.
- Demonstrated strategic thinking and effective problem-solving abilities.
- Strong organizational and project management skills.
- Ability to manage multiple projects concurrently and adapt quickly to change.
- Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to build strong relationships across all levels of the organization.

The salary offered to a candidate is determined by several factors including candidate experience and qualifications, location, as well as market and business considerations.
Equal Pay Act Range: $20.14 – $29.86
