The Opportunity

We are seeking a highly skilled, experienced, and passionate Senior Software Engineer to join our dynamic AI/ML Platform team. In this pivotal role, you will be instrumental in designing, developing, and optimizing the core infrastructure and tooling that powers our cutting-edge AI and machine learning initiatives. You will work on scalable, high-performance systems, contributing directly to the success of our data scientists and machine learning engineers by providing them with robust, efficient, and user-friendly tools. Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain robust, scalable, and high-performance AI/ML platform services and APIs using modern software engineering practices.
• Build and optimize data pipelines, feature stores, model registries, and inference services for training, deploying, and monitoring machine learning models at scale.
• Collaborate closely with data scientists, ML engineers, and other engineering teams to understand their needs, gather requirements, and deliver innovative, impactful solutions.
• Implement best practices for software development, including comprehensive code reviews, automated testing, continuous integration/continuous deployment (CI/CD), and thorough documentation.
• Drive the adoption of new technologies, frameworks, and methodologies to enhance platform capabilities, improve efficiency, and ensure future scalability.
• Troubleshoot, debug, and resolve complex technical issues related to the AI/ML platform, ensuring high availability and reliability.
• Mentor junior engineers, share knowledge, and contribute to a culture of technical excellence, innovation, and continuous learning within the team.
• Participate in on-call rotation to support the production environment, ensuring platform stability and performance.

What You Bring

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical field.
• 5+ years of professional experience in software development, with a strong focus on backend systems, platform engineering, or distributed systems.
• Proficiency in one or more modern programming languages such as Python, Go, Java, or C++. Python experience is highly preferred.
• Solid understanding of distributed systems, microservices architecture, and experience with cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, Azure).
• Extensive experience with containerization technologies (Docker, Kubernetes) and orchestration.
• Proven experience in building and operating large-scale data processing systems (e.g., Apache Spark, Flink, Kafka) or ML platforms.
• Familiarity with machine learning concepts, MLOps principles, and relevant frameworks (TensorFlow, PyTorch, scikit-learn) is a significant advantage.
• Strong problem-solving skills, with an ability to design elegant, efficient, and maintainable solutions to complex technical challenges.
• Excellent communication, collaboration, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to articulate technical concepts to diverse audiences.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with infrastructure-as-code tools (e.g., Terraform, CloudFormation) for managing cloud resources.
• Familiarity with data governance, security, and compliance best practices in an AI/ML context.
• Contributions to open-source projects related to AI/ML infrastructure or a strong portfolio of personal projects demonstrating relevant skills.
• Experience with real-time data streaming and processing technologies.
• Knowledge of experiment tracking, model versioning, and feature engineering platforms.
