Detailed Job Description: Emergency Restoration and Disaster Recovery Technician

Position Overview
As an Emergency Restoration and Disaster Recovery Technician, you will be on the front lines, providing vital restoration and disaster recovery services to customers. You will execute assigned work orders received from the Project Manager, ensuring timely and quality service delivery in challenging situations.
Key Responsibilities
- Performs a variety of repair and remediation tasks as directed by a supervisor, specifically addressing water, fire, smoke, and mold damage.
- Executes essential water extraction, careful pack-out of contents, and responsible removal/disposal of non-salvageable materials.
- Engages in thorough cleaning, light construction, and demolition activities as part of the restoration process.
- Sets up and meticulously monitors air movers and/or dehumidifiers to facilitate drying and environmental control.
- May undertake other specialized cleaning duties, including construction cleaning, fire/smoke/odor cleaning, mold remediation, and carpet and upholstery cleaning, when these are integral to mitigation or restoration projects.
- Promptly reports any equipment malfunction to the supervisor to ensure operational efficiency and safety.
- Communicates any customer problems or damages observed directly to the supervisor for swift resolution.
- Completes all assigned job tasks strictly according to company processes, consistently maintaining high quality control standards on every job.
Qualifications and Requirements
- High school graduate or equivalent is required.
- Demonstrated ability to work effectively within a team environment.
- Capable of taking instructions clearly and consistently staying on task.
- Strong commitment to following company guidelines and standards.
- Possesses good verbal and written communication skills.
- Exhibits good customer service skills, maintaining a professional and empathetic demeanor.
- Able to read and accurately follow product label usage instructions for safety and effectiveness.
- Committed to reporting to work on time and in a clean, complete uniform.
Physical Demands and Work Environment

Incumbent Must Be Prepared To:
- Move up to 70 pounds often, utilizing lifting, carrying, pushing, pulling, or otherwise repositioning objects.
- Be able to stand and walk for extended periods of time. Frequent lifting, squatting, crawling, and crouching are required.
- Express or exchange ideas with others and receive and act on detailed information given.
- For safety reasons, respirators, which are used in certain situations, must be able to seal to your face.
- Be exposed to various inside and outside working conditions, including environments with or without air conditioning and heating, and other fluctuating environmental factors.
