The Dartmouth-Hitchcock Medical Center High School Foundations Summer Internship Program offers a robust 7-week experience combining paid work, professional development, mentoring, and experiential learning. Program Highlights:

  • Paid Internship: This is a paid program requiring a 7-week full-time commitment.
  • Rotational Experience: Work in 2-3 different host departments across the institution, gaining a broad perspective of how a healthcare organization operates and the many roles involved in patient care.

Program Details:

  • Commitment: 7-week full-time program.
  • Work Hours: .01 hrs/per week (per diem/temp) – Note: This appears inconsistent with “full-time commitment.” Please clarify with the employer.
  • Shift: Day
  • Pay Range: $7.25/Hr. – $50.00/Hr.
  • Locations:
    • Dartmouth Hitchcock Medical Center, Lebanon, New Hampshire (Primary Location)
    • Additional opportunities may be available at other Dartmouth-Hitchcock Medical Center locations, but will require weekly travel to the Lebanon, NH location.

Qualifications:

  • Completed your sophomore year of high school.
  • At least 16 years old by the first day of the internship (June 22, 2026).
  • Availability to commit to the full 7-week program.
  • You must arrange your own housing and transportation.
  • Eligible for employment in the United States.
  • Successfully complete the DH pre-employment screening process, including a criminal background check and drug screen.
