Job Title: US Medical Affairs – Summer Intern

Internship Overview:
Join our dynamic team as a US Medical Affairs Summer Intern and gain invaluable experience within a critical area of the biopharmaceutical industry. We are deeply committed to making a meaningful difference for patients and are seeking enthusiastic interns to contribute significantly to our medical affairs initiatives. In this role, you will play a key part in supporting the development and execution of scientific communication initiatives across the Medical Affairs organization.

Program Structure:
This is a full-time, 12-week summer program, requiring 40 hours per week. It offers a comprehensive introduction to the diverse roles and responsibilities within Medical Affairs.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Ability to assess scientific/clinical/real-world evidence data and understand its application in driving medical strategy.
  • Develop and apply excellent written and verbal communication skills to effectively convey complex scientific and clinical data.
  • Maintain high organizational standards with a strong attention to detail, clarity, accuracy, and conciseness in all tasks.
  • Gain insight into the collaborative workings of clinical development, clinical operations, and medical affairs.
  • Learn how to collaborate with field medical colleagues, understanding the role of Medical Science Liaisons (MSLs) and their impact on overall medical and clinical strategy for programs.
  • Actively participate in team meetings and contribute to brainstorming sessions.
  • Conduct research and analysis for ongoing projects.
  • Provide administrative support as needed.
  • Undertake other duties as assigned.

Compensation:
$26 – $38 per hour, dependent on years of education completed.

Requirements:

  • Currently enrolled student pursuing a Bachelor’s, Master’s, or advanced level degree (PhD, Nursing, PharmD) in life sciences or healthcare-related fields.
  • Demonstrated interest in pursuing a career in the pharmaceutical industry or clinical research.
  • Proficiency in all aspects of Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Strong collaboration and organizational skills.
  • Ability to work independently.
  • Excellent communication, presentation, organizational, and time management skills.
  • Detail-oriented mindset.
  • Ability to quickly learn a new scientific discipline or concept.
