As a National Security Solutions Intern, You Will:
- Provide administrative or secretarial support to a department and/or Manager. Typical duties include general clerical, receptionist, and project-based work. Responsibilities may be unique to a specific function or department such as Procurement or Engineering, but are mainly administrative in nature.
- Under direct supervision, perform assignments designed to develop professional or technical work knowledge and abilities requiring application of standard techniques, procedures, and criteria in carrying out a sequence of related tasks. This is an entry-level job for professional work.
- Provide technical support in engineering, science, IT or related field working in such areas as research, design, development, testing, or manufacturing process improvement.
- Perform simple routine tasks under close supervision or from detailed procedures. Work is checked in progress or on completion. Technical adequacy of routine work is reviewed on completion; non-routine work may be reviewed in progress.
- Ability to interpret complex information in a non-technical and engaging manner.
- Identify problematic areas in data and conduct the necessary research to provide a lasting solution.
Selected interns for this paid opportunity will be provided with the opportunity to mentor with experienced professionals, gain experience, and establish a name for themselves in this high-demand career field.
Anticipated Skill Set:
- Education: Bachelor’s Degree (in the works) in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Computer Engineering, or any other scientific/engineering/technical degree with appropriate experience. Working towards a graduate degree.
- Preferred Experience: Experience with Python, JavaScript/jQuery, HTML, CSS, Django, Bootstrap, and Data tables is preferable.
Scheduled Weekly Hours:
Average 40 hours per week.
Basic Compensation:
$19.00 – 31.00 per hour (This range is for the Colorado area only).
The offered rate will be based on the selected candidate’s knowledge, skills, abilities and/or experience and in consideration of internal parity.
Requirements:
- Must be a US Citizen.
- Must pass a Security Pre-Screen and have the ability to obtain a security clearance.
