Location & Schedule:

  • Location: Atlanta
  • Work Schedule: Full-time (40 hours per week) during the Summer
  • Internship Dates: May 18th – July 24th

Job Summary – Cybersecurity Analyst Intern:

As a Cybersecurity Analyst Intern, you will immerse yourself in the critical field of information security under the direct mentorship of Juvare’s Information Security Manager and Cybersecurity Specialist. This role offers a unique opportunity to analyze, interpret, and proactively address the complex risks faced by global organizations in today’s evolving security landscape. You will gain invaluable practical experience with industry-standard tools, participate in nominal SOC operations, and learn about the essential policy frameworks required to maintain a secure environment for identities and devices.

Key Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Threat Intelligence Assessment: Assess and interpret threat intelligence data from various sources, identifying potential risk factors relevant to Juvare’s environment.
  • Incident Response: Investigate and respond to a wide range of endpoint and identity detections & alerts.
  • Vulnerability Management: Analyze vulnerability assessment results and contribute to the implementation of patch strategies to mitigate new and existing CVEs (Common Vulnerabilities and Exposures) and attack vectors.
  • Protection Framework Analysis: Perform gap analysis on existing protection frameworks to proactively strengthen access policies and controls.
  • Innovation & Recommendation: Research and recommend new, innovative approaches to respond to emerging threats within the operational environment.
  • Policy Development: Assist with the in-depth review and rewrite of select Information Security policies/standards, including integrating some into a single comprehensive document.
  • Policy Deployment & Searchability: Develop a searchable index for policies and standards by topic, keyword, or title, and deploy them on Confluence to maximize its intelligent search capabilities.
  • Security Awareness: Assist in the review and updating of KB4 Awareness Trainings and Phishing tests.
  • Team Support: Provide support for various activities of the InfoSec Analyst and Cybersecurity Specialist as assigned.

Education/Experience/Skill Requirements:

  • Education: Currently a Senior pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or a closely related field.
  • Passion: A genuine passion for Cybersecurity and/or Governance, Risk and Compliance, coupled with an eagerness to thrive in a fast-paced and dynamic industry.
  • Analytical Mindset: A strong analytical mindset and the ability to grasp high-level concepts that span across several interconnected systems.
  • Communication: Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with an aptitude to think critically, ask probing questions, and conduct independent research.
  • GPA: Minimum 2.8 GPA on a 4.0 scale.
