This internship serves as a direct pipeline to Truist’s full-time Analyst programs.

Corporate Banking Summer Analyst Program Details

The Corporate Banking Summer Analyst Program runs for approximately 10 weeks during the summer months and includes:

  • Activities: Networking socials, case studies and presentations, and team-building projects.
  • Executive Speaker Series: Opportunities to interact with the CEO, Corporate Banking Senior Leaders, and other key executives.
  • Community Service: Strong encouragement to participate in various volunteer initiatives.
  • Interaction: Opportunities to engage with other groups and disciplines throughout the investment bank.

Competitive Summer Analysts will be eligible to receive an offer to return in full-time Analyst positions upon graduation.

Job Description: Corporate Banking Summer Analyst

This program provides significant exposure to various disciplines within corporate banking. Interns will:

  • Sharpen financial analysis skills.
  • Develop a deep understanding of corporate markets and clients.
  • Gain experience in corporate finance and corporate banking products through extensive on-the-job training.

Analysts play a meaningful role in supporting internal and external clients within their assigned Corporate Banking groups. Assignments will involve direct participation within these groups, with opportunities to interact across different teams and disciplines within the bank.

The team is responsible for providing coverage banking services to corporate clients, encompassing corporate finance and specialized product services. Clients are typically mid to large-cap sized private and public companies, designated by industry vertical.

Corporate Banking Analysts support their specific industry team and senior Corporate Bankers through responsibilities that include, but are not limited to:

  • Due diligence
  • Document processing
  • Financial modeling
  • Statistical analysis
  • Research
  • Presentation development

Location

Truist Securities is headquartered in Atlanta, GA, with offices across the U.S. in cities such as Boston, Charlotte, Chicago, Dallas, Houston, Los Angeles, Miami, Nashville, Orlando, New York, San Francisco, and Washington D.C.

This specific role is for our Charlotte, NC office, within the Consumer & Retail sector.

Requirements

Minimum Requirements:

  • Final graduation with a BA/BS degree December 2027 or before June 2028.
  • Proven analytical ability and attention to detail.
  • Solid leadership and interpersonal skills.
  • Superior written and oral communication skills.
  • Ability to work well in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.

Preferred Requirements:

  • Business major.
  • Overall GPA of 3.0.
  • Strong interest in finance and investment banking.
  • Prior completion of Accounting or Finance coursework.
  • High degree of academic and extracurricular achievement.
  • Willingness to commit substantial time and energy to the program.
