Key Responsibilities:

As an AI Design Intern, you will be instrumental in:

• Designing Diverse Editorial Assets: Craft visually striking editorial layouts, captivating magazine covers, impactful feature visuals, and dynamic social media-first assets tailored for our modern audience.
• Leveraging AI Design Tools: Master and apply cutting-edge AI design tools to efficiently generate, rapidly iterate on, and significantly enhance a wide range of visual elements, including stunning imagery, compelling typography, and innovative layout structures.
• Translating Editorial Ideas: Skillfully transform abstract editorial concepts and narratives into powerful, cohesive, and aesthetically pleasing visual stories that deeply resonate with our readership.
• Developing AI Prompt Systems: Pioneer and refine repeatable AI prompt systems and workflows to ensure high-quality, consistent, and on-brand visual output at an unprecedented scale.
• Collaborating Across Teams: Engage in close collaboration with our editorial team, writers, and social media specialists to seamlessly integrate AI-driven design into our content creation pipelines.
• Experimenting & Innovating: Actively explore and experiment with emerging AI tools, innovative design styles, and novel workflows to continuously push the boundaries of visual storytelling within a publishing context.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

We are looking for a candidate who possesses:

• Strong Visual Design Sense: An exceptional visual design sensibility, demonstrating mastery in layout, typography, color theory, and composition.
• Experience with AI Design Tools: Proven hands-on experience with AI design tools, specifically in areas like image generation, layout assistance, and visual ideation.
• Understanding of Editorial Design: A solid understanding of editorial design principles as applied across various media, including magazines, newsletters, and digital platforms.
