What You’ll Actually Do
• Review: Review prior year financial statements, work papers, and tax returns before engagements begin.
• Perform: Execute audit procedures for moderately complex accounting areas.
• Prepare: Prepare individual, business, and trust tax returns for detailed review.
• Understand: Maintain knowledge of clients’ policies, accounting practices, and business conditions.
• Draft: Identify and draft management letter comments or calculate tax liability projections and extension payments.

The Must-Haves
• Background: Entry-Level college student pursuing an accounting major with the aim of obtaining an eventual CPA license. Candidates must have completed Intermediate Financial Accounting I by the start of the internship. Preferred graduation dates for those with 150 credit hours range from December 2026 to May 2028.
• Experience: Some work experience, whether related or unrelated to accounting, is preferred. This role offers opportunities to collaborate directly with clients and top firm leaders, and to engage in complex projects from start to finish.
• Skills: Strong, hands-on Excel proficiency is required, alongside excellent verbal and written communication skills. Candidates should also possess advanced problem-solving and critical thinking abilities, demonstrating motivation to continuously learn and improve, an easy-to-coach attitude, and unwavering integrity in all situations.
• Bonus: Completion of a Tax or Audit class is preferred but not required. A GPA of 3.0 or higher is also preferred. Candidates exhibiting initiative and drive through leadership experiences in work and/or campus extracurriculars, along with enthusiasm and eagerness to engage, contribute, and have fun, will stand out.
