Job Summary: The Aggregate Internship Development Program
We invite ambitious college students to join our 10-week Aggregate Internship Development Program (IDP), commencing annually in May. This immersive experience is meticulously designed to provide hands-on experience and a profound understanding of our Aggregate division’s operations. As an IDP intern, you will gain critical exposure to core functions including:
- Mine Planning
- Process Improvements
- Quality and Reliability
- Inventory Maintenance
- Data Management
Job Responsibilities: What You Will Experience
As a Cemex USA Intern, your summer will be rich with learning, contribution, and growth opportunities. Your main responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:
- Safety First: Actively learn, promote, and ensure adherence to Cemex’s industry-leading safety protocols, playing a vital role in maintaining a safe working environment.
- Project-Based Experience: Engage in challenging, real-world projects that offer a comprehensive view of our Aggregate operations. Work alongside experienced professionals to solve problems and drive meaningful change.
- Skill Building: Develop crucial technical and soft skills through practical application and continuous learning. Refine your presentation abilities by sharing project outcomes with our leadership team.

Qualifications: Who We Are Looking For
We are seeking motivated students eager to explore the world of end-to-end Aggregate operations and maximize this unique learning opportunity. Ideal candidates will possess:
- Educational Foundation: Active pursuit of a bachelor’s degree in fields such as Mining Engineering, Materials Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Geology, or a related discipline, with at least junior year standing.
- Academic Performance: A minimum GPA of 2.5, with a strong preference for those with a GPA of 3.0 or higher.
- Leadership Potential: Demonstrated leadership qualities and a proactive approach to problem-solving.
- Communication Skills: Strong analytical and communication abilities, capable of presenting ideas clearly and effectively.
- Technical Proficiency: Previous relevant experience gained through internships, co-op programs, or university projects, showcasing a passion for the industry.
- Team Collaboration: An ability to thrive in both independent work settings and collaborative team environments.
Working Conditions
- Work Schedule: This is a full-time, on-site internship requiring a 40-hour work week, typically Monday through Friday.
- Environment: Expect a dynamic mix of office work and fieldwork, involving exposure to varying environmental conditions, including outdoor settings.
