Internship Trainee – AI Engg | CRISIL

The Tone:
This is a temporary internship at CRISIL, spanning 4 to 6 months, focused on the evolving field of Artificial Intelligence engineering. This role is crucial as it directly supports the development and implementation of live AI projects, contributing to the core of CRISIL’s advanced offerings. • Mission: To actively assist AI engineers and contribute to the successful execution of live AI projects.

What You’ll Actually Do
• Project Assistance: Provide comprehensive, hands-on support to AI engineers throughout various stages of live project development, from initial research and prototyping through to testing and deployment.
• Technical Contribution: Engage in practical technical tasks directly related to AI solutions, which may involve developing scripts for data processing, implementing components of AI models, or configuring experimental environments.
• Collaborative Learning: Actively participate in a collaborative engineering environment, attending team meetings, contributing to technical discussions, and working alongside experienced professionals to solve real-world AI challenges.
• Data Management & Model Evaluation: Assist with critical data-related processes, including collection, cleaning, transformation, and management of datasets, and support the rigorous evaluation of AI models by running experiments and analyzing performance metrics.
• Research & Documentation: Conduct preliminary research on emerging AI techniques or tools relevant to ongoing projects, and meticulously document methodologies, code structures, and experimental findings to foster knowledge sharing and project continuity.

The Must-Haves
• Background: Candidates must be currently pursuing or have recently completed a Bachelor’s Degree in Mathematics or Engineering. This foundational academic background is essential for understanding the theoretical underpinnings and practical applications of AI.
• Experience: This is an entry-level internship opportunity; therefore, no prior professional work experience specifically in AI engineering is required. However, candidates must be fully available for a continuous internship duration of 4 to 6 months to ensure comprehensive project engagement.
• Skills: A strong foundational understanding of core Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning concepts is imperative. Candidates should also possess well-developed analytical capabilities, stemming from their mathematics or engineering background, coupled with a demonstrated aptitude for rigorous problem-solving within technical contexts.
