Business Development Intern

Location & Type: Full-time internship based in San Francisco, CA or New York, NY.

About the Role:

This is an exciting opportunity for a highly motivated individual passionate about advancing scalable, carbon-free technology. As a Business Development Intern, you will gain invaluable hands-on experience in strategic planning, financial modeling, and market research, directly contributing to Hadron Energy’s commercial objectives. The role is ideal for candidates with a strong interest in finance, market analysis, and energy policy within the clean energy sector.

You will work collaboratively with Hadron Energy’s senior leadership and a diverse array of cross-functional teams, including Finance, Engineering, and Regulatory Affairs. Your contributions will be pivotal in supporting the analysis, strategy development, and financial planning crucial for the successful deployment of Hadron’s micro modular reactors.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct comprehensive market research to identify new opportunities and assess market dynamics for MMR deployment.
  • Develop and refine financial models to support strategic planning, investment analysis, and commercial decision-making.
  • Perform in-depth policy analysis to understand regulatory landscapes and their impact on clean energy and nuclear technology.
  • Contribute directly to the development and execution of commercial strategies in a fast-paced, startup environment.
  • Support the analysis and planning for the deployment of Hadron’s micro modular reactors, working closely with various internal teams.

Qualifications & Skillsets:

  • Currently pursuing a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Business, Finance, Economics, Public Policy, or a related field.
  • Strong quantitative and analytical skills, demonstrated through prior experience in financial modeling or market research.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint is essential.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to articulate complex information clearly.
  • Strong organizational skills and a high attention to detail, capable of managing multiple tasks effectively.
  • A demonstrated interest in clean energy, infrastructure, or technology commercialization.
  • Familiarity with energy markets or project finance is a significant plus.
  • Possess a startup-minded approach to problem-solving, coupled with a genuine passion for clean energy.
  • Proven ability to work effectively in a team environment.
