G.Start Internship Program – College Students
About the G.Start Program:
Gerdau is actively seeking talented college students to join our prestigious G.Start program. This is a paid internship program specifically designed to cultivate future technical and managerial leaders within our global organization. G.Start internships are project-focused, providing real-world experience that is mutually beneficial for both the intern and Gerdau. We are looking for individuals who possess an eagerness to grow personally and professionally as part of a global company with over 120 years of entrepreneurial spirit and achievements in the steel industry. Gerdau stands as a major steel manufacturing company, proudly operating in 10 countries and employing over 30,000 individuals worldwide. Our North American business divisions (Gerdau Long Steel North America and Gerdau Specialty Steel North America) are leaders in producing long and special steel products essential for critical markets including agriculture, energy, industrial, automotive, and manufacturing.
We significantly contribute to the economy through our extensive network of recycling operations and mills, with ten mills in the U.S. and three in Canada. Job Responsibilities & The Individual:
As an Intern with Gerdau, you will be expected to immerse yourself in project-focused tasks that contribute directly to business goals. We seek individuals who will:

Qualifications:
- Currently an Undergraduate entering your Junior or Senior year.
- Pursuing a degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Materials Science, or Metallurgy Engineering or a related field from a recognized accredited college or university.
- Possess a record of high academic achievement (Minimum GPA 2.5, preferred GPA 3.0 or higher).
- Well-rounded applicants with demonstrated leadership roles in student organizations or extra-curricular activities.
- Must be legally authorized to work full-time in the country of hire without requiring current or future sponsorship for employment.
