G.Start Internship Program – Shaping the Future with Gerdau

Program Description: G.Start Internship

The G.Start program is a paid, project-focused internship designed to develop college students for future technical and managerial positions within Gerdau. This mutually-beneficial program is a vital part of Gerdau’s commitment to fostering talent and building a diverse and inclusive workforce.

As a G.Start Intern, you will:

Job Responsibilities and The Individual

Gerdau is seeking individuals who embody a spirit of continuous growth and possess the drive to excel. Interns are expected to demonstrate strong leadership potential, initiative, and problem-solving capabilities.

Key Requirements and Qualifications:

  • Academic Standing: Undergraduate student entering their Junior or Senior year.
  • Degree Pursuit: Pursuing a degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Materials Science, Metallurgy Engineering, or a related field from a recognized accredited college or university.
  • Academic Achievement: A strong record of high academic achievement (Minimum GPA 2.5, preferred GPA 3.0 or higher).
  • Leadership & Engagement: Well-rounded applicants with demonstrated leadership roles in student organizations or extra-curricular activities.
  • Essential Skills: Must demonstrate strong interpersonal skills, excellent written and oral communication skills, initiative, and problem-solving skills.
  • Work Authorization: Must be legally authorized to work full-time in the country of hire without requiring current or future sponsorship for employment.
