Duties Description:
As a member of NYSIF’s Application Development Team, incumbents of these positions will play a key role in developing software to meet the essential business needs of the agency. As a member of a full stack development team, incumbents will assist in the design and creation of both front and back-end software development. Duties include but are not limited to:
• Scanning code
• CI/CD pipelines
• Production support
• APIs
• Assisting with building or updating websites
• Develop or update database objects and create SQL statements.
• RPA automation
Basic understanding of: Object oriented programming, Project Lifecycle, Azure DevOps, HTML, SQL, JavaScript

Minimum Qualifications:
• Be actively enrolled in a New York State college, university, or graduate program, or be a resident of New York State, attending a college, university or graduate program outside of New York State.
• Have completed a minimum of one (1) year as a student at a degree-granting two or four year college or university (completion of one year’s worth of academic credits over a longer period may qualify part-time students for participation in the program) or be a currently enrolled graduate student or accepted in a graduate degree program.
• Have a minimum grade point average (GPA) of 2.0, or the letter grade equivalent.
• Must be able to work at least part-time summer (10-15 hours per week, with the opportunity to work fall and spring depending on availability); full-time summer hours preferred.

Preferred Major(s): Computer Networking, Infrastructure Engineering, Computer Science, or Cybersecurity.
