Job Summary: About the Aggregate Internship Development Program (IDP)

We are thrilled to offer current college students an immersive 10-week Aggregate Internship Development Program, commencing annually in May. This program is specifically designed to provide invaluable hands-on experience and foster a deep understanding of our operations within the Aggregate division. As an IDP Intern, you will gain exposure to various critical functions, including but not limited to:

  • Mine Planning
  • Process Improvements
  • Quality and Reliability
  • Inventory Maintenance
  • Data Management

Key Responsibilities & Learning Opportunities: What You Will Experience

As a Cemex USA Intern, your summer will be rich with opportunities to learn, contribute, and grow. Your main responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:

Candidate Qualifications: Who We Are Looking For

We are seeking enthusiastic students eager to explore the world of end-to-end Aggregate operations and maximize this learning opportunity. Ideal candidates will possess:

  • Educational Foundation: Active pursuit of a bachelor’s degree in Mining Engineering, Materials Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Geology, or a related field, with at least junior year standing.
  • Academic Performance: A GPA of 2.5 or above, with a strong preference for those with a GPA of 3.0 or higher.
  • Leadership Potential: Demonstrated leadership qualities and a proactive approach to problem-solving.
  • Communication Skills: Strong analytical and communication abilities, with the capability to present ideas clearly and effectively.
  • Technical Proficiency: Previous experience from individuals who share our passion for the industry and have gained valuable insights through internships, co-op programs, or university projects.
  • Team Collaboration: Enjoyment of both independent work and teamwork.

Work Environment & Conditions

  • Work Schedule: This is a full-time, on-site internship with a 40-hour work week, typically Monday through Friday.
  • Environment: Expect a dynamic mix of office work and fieldwork, where you will be exposed to varying environmental conditions, including outdoor settings.
