The Opportunity: Civil Construction Engineering Internship
At Benesch, we believe in nurturing talent from the ground up. This Civil Construction Engineering Internship offers hands-on field experience, exposure to construction observation, and project documentation. You will work alongside experienced Construction Engineering professionals, supporting the inspection and documentation of vital infrastructure projects. This role provides an excellent opportunity to learn directly from experienced engineers and project managers.
What You Will Do
• Support the inspection and documentation of road, water main, and sewer construction projects.
• Gain hands-on field experience in construction observation.
• Contribute to project documentation processes.
• Collaborate with and learn from Project Engineers and Project Managers.
Location
This internship is field-based, with opportunities to collaborate on active projects and receive mentorship from Project Engineers and Project Managers in Michigan.
What You Will Need
• Pursuing a bachelor’s degree in Civil or Construction Engineering from an ABET-accredited university (EIT preferred).
• Experience working on field projects (a plus).
• Familiarity with ArcGIS, MicroStation, GeoPak, and/or AutoCAD is desirable.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Excellent organizational skills with the ability to work efficiently within budgets and schedules.
• Ability to work effectively both independently and in a team environment.
• Valid driver’s license and good driving record.
